Programs

C.W. WILLIAMS COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, INC. (CWWCHC) provides comprehensive services to meet the unique needs of its patient population.  In addition to the comprehensive primary care services, C.W. Williams CHC offers the following special programs:

Diabetes Program  

The purpose of this program is to provide a comprehensive approach to managing Diabetes.  CWWCHC is a member of the State Diabetes Collaborative and Bureau of Primary Health Care Diabetes Collaborative, which significantly helps improve the care of their diabetes patients.

HIV/AIDS Program

The purpose of this program is to provide primary care and specialty care services to HIV/AIDS patients.

Homeless Health Care Initiative

The purpose of this project is to provide primary care, nursing services, and pharmaceuticals to the residents of Uptown Shelter and participants of Urban Ministry Center.

Mammography Screening Program

This program is a joint collaboration between CWWCHC and Mecklenburg County Health Department.  The purpose of the program is to provide breast health screening and education to the women of CWWCHC.

Women’s Health Program

This program provides routine preventive health care for women including pap smears and mammograms.  Services provided include:  routine exams and gynecological services, family planning, breast and cervical cancer screening, mammography, pre-pregnancy counseling, confidential HIV testing and counseling, and referrals to other services.

K.I.C.K.S. – Kids Increasing Confidence and Keeping in Shape

This program is sponsored by the Community Care Partners of Greater  Mecklenburg and is designed to assist families who have overweight children. The goal is to raise awareness of this crisis and to promote healthy habits that can last a lifetime. This program provides education about healthy dietary choices and encourages more physical activity for children.

Pharmacy Program

CWWCHC has expanded it’s pharmacy services, offering personalized service where your doctor and pharmacist partner to manage your care.  There are no long waits and all insurances are accepted.  CWWCHC patients can save an average of 40% using our pharmacy services even with no insurance.  We offer brand name medications and serve our patients at both the Wilkinson Blvd. and Midtown locations.  For more information, click here…
